About the role

As a (Senior) Data & Automation Engineer you are the technical architect behind our data and automation systems. You develop and maintain data pipelines, automate processes via APIs and low-code platforms, and integrate AI features to make our business smarter and more efficient. You are a builder, innovator, and systems thinker all in one – working closely with our product management and business operations teams to turn ideas into high-performance solutions. Your responsibilities‍

• Building and further developing the data warehouse (BigQuery) with a focus on performance, stability, and scalability
• Developing data and automation processes (ELT, dbt, Supermetrics, Make, Python scripts, etc.)
• Integrating new tools & APIs to expand our data and automation landscape
• Implementation of AI features and intelligent processes via APIs, no-code, and low-code platforms
• Quality Assurance & Monitoring: Ensuring data quality, transparency, and reliable performance
• Close collaboration with Product Management & Business Ops to technically implement new ideas and features
• Technical documentation & knowledge building in the field of data, automation & AI

Your profile

• Several years of experience as a Data Engineer, Automation Engineer, or Technical Developer
• Solid knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and modern cloud data architecture (ideally GCP / BigQuery)
• Experience with ELT tools (e.g., dbt, Supermetrics), automation platforms (e.g., Make, Zapier, n8n) and ideally Python or JavaScript
• Strong understanding of API structures and their integration into data and automation processes
• Passion for AI & process automation – you enjoy experimenting with new technologies
• Independent, solution-oriented approach with a high level of technical ownership
• Enjoyment in building, testing, and optimizing within an agile environment
• You are fluent in both German and English
